The 60′s trend revival: Get it on a budget

The popularity of clothing from the 1960s seems to be bouncing back with a vengeance. Indeed, the trend has been adopted by plenty of people, who are buying bargains from High and Mighty and other online retailers at a great price. The question is… what do you need to get the look?

The 60s style is not about hippies or spaced out fashions – it’s about the resurgence of two iconic British youth subcultures, namely mods and rockers. Unlike the 60s, though, you don’t have to pick sides as you can draw style inspiration from both without drawing the ire of your fellow man.

According to Asos, there is a neutral ground currently occupied by Neil Barrett and Givenchy, “where slim suiting, sharp shirts and biker leathers mingle easily”. There are several premium brands looking to master the look, though the long-standing and respected company Burberry Prorsum continues to mix things up unexpectedly.

All the while, Calvin Klein is creating sharp blazers by the truckload and fitting them with narrow lapels made from tough leather. Versace continues to defy history by pairing elongated and tailored biker jackets with skinny trousers, blending mods and rockers together.
